We’re pleased to welcome Michael to Ocean Re, as he joins our Marine & Energy Liability team.
Michael brings over 12 years of experience in the global insurance and reinsurance sector, developed primarily within the Lloyd’s market, combining strong technical underwriting expertise with a clear commercial mindset and a passion for long-term broker and client relationships.
Most recently, Michael served as Senior Underwriter at Hiscox, where he worked on a well-established Marine & Energy Liability portfolio, underwriting complex global risks across marine, energy, and reinsurance lines. His work focused on portfolio optimization, pricing discipline, broker engagement, and delivering high-impact client initiatives within a dynamic market environment.
Prior to joining Hiscox, Michael spent eight years at Argo Global, where he managed a Marine Liability portfolio. Before this, he also gained experience across hull and yacht business. Michael brings broad expertise spanning primary and excess placements, multi-jurisdictional exposures, and close collaboration with actuarial, claims, finance, and operations teams.
